Making a new path – Ink Drawing, performance, installation and photographs. January 2025
A drawing created on location in Chorlton Ees during a storm encapsulating the movement, shape, line and essence of wild nature in the moment.

The drawing has then been taken for a walk around the Ees and documented in various locations, interacting with the nature as well as left behind manmade elements during January and then revisited in April 2025.

Making a new path will be exhibited on location at the bridge across Chorlton brook as part of the Chorlton Arts Festival 2025 16th -25th May.
As part of the Exhibition Lynda Sterling will be leading a Drawing workshop and mark making meander walk through the Ees on Sunday 18th May. Meet at the exhibition site at 3.00pm. Materials – including charcoal made from twigs collected from the woods will be provided. No experience is needed, just come along ready to engage and interact with nature as you walk.
This creative walk is also part of the GM Walking festival 2025.
